The people behind the picks
We’re just a family
that buys a lot of stuff.
And after enough bad purchases, we started writing down what actually works.
Hi, I’m Matt. My wife is Taryn. We live in Pacific, Missouri with our three kids — Henry, and the two others who somehow ended up with less interesting names for a website URL.
We built Our Henry Hub because we were tired of reading product reviews that were clearly written by people who owned the thing for two days and then posted before the return window closed. We wanted reviews from families who actually used things long enough to know whether they held up.
That’s what this is. Every product on this site is something we bought with our own money, used in our own house, and made a verdict on after real use. Some things we love. Some things we returned. We tell you both.
We use Amazon affiliate links, which means if you click through and buy something, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission is what keeps this site running — and it only works if we give you good recommendations, so we have a strong incentive to be honest.
We’ll never recommend something just because it converts well. If we didn’t buy it, use it, and genuinely find it worth the money, it doesn’t go on this site.
Henry is our oldest. The site name is his fault. He has strong opinions about snacks and car organization for someone who doesn’t drive yet.
Taryn covers home organization, kid-specific gear, and anything that touches the kitchen. I cover car stuff, grilling, and the things I call “dad purchases” that Taryn calls “things we didn’t need.” She’s usually right, but not always.
If a product made our permanent rotation, it shows up here. If it didn’t, you won’t see it — regardless of the commission rate.
